What is Naxan?

An innovative and sustainable new product for the Australian architectural, commercial property and home building industries

Naxan is manufactured utilising Resysta® technology, developed in Germany in 1996, which creates a fibre-reinforced hybrid material consisting of approximately 60% recycled rice husks, 18% mineral oil and 22% rock salt via an extrusion process. This allows the resulting Naxan product to achieve the look and feel of wood, but without the environmental impact, making it both environmentally-friendly and naturally weather-resistant against sun, rain, snow or salt water. At the same time, Naxan requires minimal care and is extremely durable, strong and long-lasting.

Key Features of Naxan

Just like wood, Naxan can be sawn, drilled, painted, sanded and stained. However, Naxan also offers an added advantage: its unique properties ensure it doesn’t crack or splinter, and its cutting wastes are 100% recyclable.
